Please join us for the launch of Christ Church’s Michaelmas Term Upper Library exhibition – ‘A glut of books’: Robert Burton and seventeenth-century libraries

The exhibition celebrates Christ Church’s 17th-century collections and the Library’s recent acquisition of Robert Burton’s copy of Michael Scot’s Mensa Philosophica (1603), purchased with the generous support of the Friends of the Nations’ Libraries.  

This event will feature a brief talk on Burton by Dr Kathryn Murphy, Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oriel College, a preview of the exhibition and refreshments.
