I have been the archivist at Christ Church since 1994.  My principal role is to ensure that all the administrative records of the college and cathedral, from earliest times to the present, are maintained so that our corporate history is as complete as possible.  I answer enquiries from all departments of Christ Church and from external researchers.  Much of my spare time is taken up researching and writing on all aspects of Christ Church’s history.

I have an MSt in English Local History, a Post-graduate certificate in Architectural History, a Diploma in Archive Administration, and an undergraduate-level diploma in Iron Age, Anglo-Saxon, and Medieval archaeology.  With luck and a considerable amount of time spent scrutinising the grindstone, a PhD is in the offing.
