Fowler Hamilton Visiting Research Fellowships (January 2026 - July 2027)
Applications are invited for Fowler Hamilton Visiting Fellows from overseas, in the Humanities or the Social Sciences, in the period January 2026 - July 2027. Applicants may apply for a period of between three, six, nine and eleven months during this period.
The Fellowship Fund was established in the name of the late Fowler Hamilton, an American Rhodes Scholar of Christ Church. The Fellowships are intended to enable distinguished senior scholars and creative artists to pursue their own research as members of the college, providing an opportunity for academics to benefit from an association, and engage in the academic and social life of Christ Church.
You will hold a PhD/DPhil in any discipline in the Humanities or Social Sciences; be a leading authority in your subject with a substantial, recognised international reputation; and have a proven high standard of research with a record of peer-reviewed publication commensurate with post-doctoral academic experience, with evidence of continuing research activity.
