- are from areas with low index of multiple deprivation (IMD quintiles 1 or 2 – further information can be found on the UK Government website.)
- And any student currently attending a state-maintained school regardless of meeting the extra contextual criteria above
How to take part?
The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 18 April 2025.
Please complete the Home Essay Competition entry form when you are ready to upload your essay. The form will then ask you to submit your document via email in Word (.docx) format. We also request that you use the following format to name your file: Surname Name School Home, e.g. ‘Butler Joel Lyndon Home.docx’. This is to ensure that each essay is identifiable to the correct participant.
Entrants selected for the Geography Study Day will be notified via the email address provided on their entry form during the week commencing Monday 5 May.
We hope you enjoy putting together your essays and we wish you all the best of luck. Any questions can be addressed to the Access & Schools Liaison Officer, Joel Butler, at access@chch.ox.ac.uk or via telephone on 01865 276181.
